Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PKWORLD website, mobile app and related services (together, the "Platform"). By using the Platform or making a booking, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Our service

1.1 PKWORLD is an online platform through which you can search for, compare and book accommodation provided by hotels and other properties ("Properties").

1.2 When you make a booking, you enter into a contract directly with the Property. PKWORLD acts as an intermediary between you and the Property and is not a party to that contract. The Property is responsible for providing the accommodation and any services at the Property.

1.3 Information about Properties, including descriptions, photos, facilities, prices and policies, is provided by the Properties. We take reasonable care in presenting this information but cannot guarantee that it is always complete or accurate.

1.4 Each booking is also subject to the policies of the Property and the conditions of the rate you select, which are shown before you confirm. If there is a conflict between those conditions and these Terms regarding your stay, the booking conditions apply.

2. Eligibility and accounts

2.1 You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts to use the Platform.

2.2 If you book on behalf of others, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that you will inform them of the booking conditions and these Terms.

2.3 You must provide accurate and complete information and keep your account details up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login details confidential. Please inform us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

2.4 The Platform is for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell bookings or use the Platform for commercial purposes without our written consent.

3. Bookings

3.1 Before you confirm a booking, we will show you the Property, room, dates, total price, rate conditions, cancellation policy and any charges payable at the Property. Please review these carefully.

3.2 A booking is confirmed once we send you a confirmation containing a PKWORLD booking reference. If you do not receive a confirmation, please check your account or contact us before making another booking.

3.3 The name on the booking should match the identity document you will present at check-in.

3.4 Where a price is displayed incorrectly because of an obvious error, we are not obliged to honour the booking. In that case we will inform you and refund any amount paid.

4. Prices and taxes

4.1 Prices are set by the Properties and charged in Pakistani Rupees (PKR). The total price shown at checkout includes applicable taxes and fees known to us, unless stated otherwise.

4.2 Some charges, such as security deposits or local levies, may be payable directly at the Property. Where applicable, these are shown before you book.

4.3 Prices shown in other currencies are for reference only. Your bank or card issuer may apply its own exchange rates and fees.

4.4 Once a booking is confirmed, the price will not change, except where you change the booking.

5. Payment

5.1 Available payment options depend on the Property and rate selected and may include payment at the Property or online payment by card, mobile wallet or bank transfer.

5.2 Where you pay online, PKWORLD collects the payment on behalf of the Property. Payment to PKWORLD discharges your obligation to pay the Property for that amount.

5.3 Where you pay at the Property, payment is made directly to the Property in accordance with its accepted payment methods.

5.4 Some rates require a deposit or full prepayment at the time of booking. The amount will be shown before you confirm.

5.5 We may carry out checks to prevent fraud. We may decline or cancel a booking if we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent or unauthorised payment.

5.6 PKWORLD will only accept payment through the Platform. We will never ask you to make a payment to a personal bank account or personal mobile wallet.

6. Cancellations and changes

6.1 The cancellation policy for your booking depends on the rate you selected and is shown before you book and in your confirmation. Some rates can be cancelled free of charge until a specified time, while others are non-refundable. Please see our Cancellation Policy for more information.

6.2 You can cancel or request changes to your booking through your account. Any cancellation fee will be shown before you confirm the cancellation. Changes are subject to availability and may result in a different price.

6.3 If a Property is unable to honour your booking, we will cancel it and refund any amount you paid through PKWORLD, and we will make reasonable efforts to help you find alternative accommodation.

6.4 A Property may propose a change to your booking dates. The change will only take effect if you accept it.

7. No-shows

7.1 If you do not arrive at the Property and have not cancelled your booking, the Property may report a no-show. We will notify you and give you an opportunity to dispute the report before it is confirmed.

7.2 Where a no-show is confirmed, the no-show conditions of your rate will apply.

8. Refunds

8.1 Where you are entitled to a refund, it will be made to the original payment method. The time taken for the refund to reach your account depends on your bank or payment provider.

8.2 Refunds by bank transfer can only be made to an account held in your name.

9. Your stay

9.1 You must present a valid identity document at check-in: a CNIC for Pakistani nationals or a passport for foreign nationals. A Property may refuse check-in if a valid document is not presented.

9.2 You must comply with the rules of the Property, including check-in and check-out times and any other policies shown on the listing.

9.3 You are responsible for any damage caused by you or members of your party during your stay. The Property may charge you directly for such damage.

9.4 You are responsible for holding any travel documents required for your trip.

10. Reviews

10.1 Reviews may only be submitted by guests who have completed a stay booked through PKWORLD. Reviews must reflect your genuine experience.

10.2 Reviews must not contain offensive, discriminatory or unlawful content, personal information about others, or promotional material. We may decline or remove reviews that do not meet these requirements.

10.3 By submitting a review, you grant PKWORLD a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish and use it on the Platform and in connection with our services.

11. Rewards and promotions

11.1 PKWorld Rewards and any promotional offers or discount codes are subject to their own conditions. Benefits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.

11.2 We may modify or end any programme or promotion, and may withdraw benefits obtained through misuse.

12. Acceptable use

You must not:

• make false, fraudulent or speculative bookings;
• use another person's identity or payment details without authorisation;
• use any automated means, including bots and scrapers, to access or collect content from the Platform;
• interfere with the security or operation of the Platform;
• behave in an abusive or threatening manner towards Properties, other users or our staff;
• use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.

13. Intellectual property

All content on the Platform, including its design, software, text, graphics and the PKWORLD name and logo, is owned by or licensed to PKWORLD. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

14. Liability

14.1 The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

14.2 PKWORLD is not responsible for the accommodation or services provided by a Property, or for any act or omission of a Property.

14.3 To the extent permitted by law, PKWORLD is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in connection with a booking will not exceed the total amount paid for that booking.

14.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

15. Indemnity

You agree to compensate PKWORLD for any claims, losses or costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Platform.

16. Events beyond our control

PKWORLD is not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, epidemics, civil unrest, government action or disruption to telecommunications or internet services.

17. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account, or cancel bookings, if you breach these Terms, if we suspect fraud or abuse, or if required by law. You may close your account at any time.

18. Complaints

If you have a complaint about a booking or our services, please contact our customer support team first. Complaints about a Property should be raised with the Property during your stay where possible, and we will assist you in resolving them.

19. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. The courts of Lahore will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, without affecting any right you may have to bring a claim before a consumer court.

20. General

20.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will apply from the date they are published. Bookings are governed by the Terms in effect at the time the booking was made.

20.2 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

20.3 Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

20.4 If these Terms are translated, the English version will prevail.
